Environment Protection
Environmental protection refers to the practice of conserving natural resources and the existing natural environment, as well as reversing any damage that may have been done. This practice is carried out by individuals, groups and governments. However, due to overconsumption, population growth, and technological advancements, the biophysical environment is being degraded, sometimes permanently. Governments have recognized this issue, and have implemented restraints on activities that cause environmental degradation. Environmental movements have also played a role in raising awareness of the multiple environmental problems since the 1960s. Nevertheless, there is still some disagreement on the extent of the environmental impact of human activity, which occasionally leads to debates on the best protection measures.
To help students understand how they can preserve the environment, this global challenge project will provide mentoring sessions by environmental experts. These experts will guide our young generation on this global challenge facing the world.
